Product Engineer

Logan is the Product Engineer at Driven Metalworks LLC and leads product development.  He is a native of the area having grown up in Hawthorn PA.  Logan received his Bachelor’s degree in General Engineering from Penn State.  His area of specialization in college was applied materials where he studied material properties, engineering design, metallurgy, material selection, and material characterization.  Soon after graduation Logan realized his aptitude and passion for understanding and designing mechanical and electrical systems and began working as an automation engineer designing and implementing industrial equipment.  Logan has attended multiple international conferences within his field and has received certifications along the way.  Logan is a Certified Vision Professional and a Certified Motion Control Professional where he learned the ins and outs of machine vision and motion control systems, respectively.  Logan also holds a certificate in Spatial Analysis and Engineering Design Principles from Penn State.  Logan excels at solving complex manufacturing problems by leveraging technology.  He has deployed numerous automated measuring and sorting machines, integrated robots, and has extensive experience programming PLC’s and HMI’s.  Logan has implemented automation projects from initial concept, through design, build, and commissioning. In his free time, he enjoys camping, exercising his privilege as a Private Pilot, and spending time his wife Alaina and their son Henry.
